Finally, Eli pictures.

We left for the hospital at 7:45 in the morning on the 6th and Eli was born the following morning at 6. It was a long day and night. I didn't even get started on the pitocin until 6 pm on the 6th. I can't remember what time they broke my water, but a couple hours after that I got an epidural. When the anesthesiologist came in, he was just standing there chatting with me. I wanted to say "Shut up and stab me already!!" (So, Bryan, don't chat with your patients BEFORE you drug them. Wait until AFTER!) I pushed for a little over an hour. I was so glad when my doctor finally came. I had started throwing up between pushing, so I was ready to get Eli out. It was all worth it though! Eli is so sweet! We went home the following night. We could have stayed longer but I missed Blaine so much! I just wanted to get home to him.
Blaine LOVES Eli! It is so sweet. He loves to help and hug and kiss Eli. He hasn't acted jealous at all. What a blessing. A funny, gross story about Blaine helping. Yesterday I was changing Eli's diaper and Blaine was "helping" by sitting on the floor next to us. Eli was really poopy so it was taking a long time to change him. Suddenly Eli starts peeing and it shot straight into Blaine's mouth!! Blaine looks at me and says "Mmmm! Water!" Yuck huh!
We are all doing pretty well adjusting to having another person in our family. Eli likes to cuddle. He loves to be wrapped up tight and is happy laying in the swing. He does pretty well at night. Occasionally he gets confused and thinks night time is time to be awake. And he wants to be held and played with. Silly guy.

Leaving for the hospital. Yep, there's a nine pounder in there!
After getting the Epidural

Check out that noggin. He had an alien head.

You look like you're about to do a pole dance with that IV! You're following in your sister's pregnant booty-shaking footsteps - "Ooops, I did it again!" LOL

He is so cute! I love that you can spike his hair. I remember you tried to spike Blaine's when he was just born but he didn't have much.

Thanks for posting those Jen! That was fun for me to see. I'm glad Blaine's handling it well. That pole picture reminded me of Yellowstone pictures.
