Say What?!

The other day Blaine was "reading" a book to Eli. The book is called When I Was a Baby. It talks about the things this little boys did when he was a baby ie: "When I was a baby, I wore a diaper, and crawled everywhere." Then it says what the boy does as a big boy ie: "Now I am a big boy. I can run and jump." As I'm listening to Blaine read I suddenly hear "I have a face like a hamburger!" Hmmm. Don't remember that part. Nice reading, Blaine. Ü

Happy Birthday to my sweet baby E!

Eli turned 2 today! I can't believe it has been two years already. Eli has started running up to me and hugging my leg. Makes my little heart melt. I sure love him. Eli has the sweetest personality. He is usually shy and quiet around strangers.

Eli at age 2:

Favorite food: Macaroni and cheese
Least favorite food: noodles, the kid won't touch 'em!
Favorite treat: Cookies. He is just the right height to reach his little hand up and snag some freshly baked cookies off the counter.
Favorite song: Twinkle, Twinkle Little Star
Favorite book: When I Was A Baby
Favorite activity: Whatever Blaine's doing
Least favorite activity: Bathing. Eli HATES the tub; cries the whole time, even when Blaine's not in the tub dumping water all over him.
Clothes size: 3T
Shoe size: 8 1/2. His feet are so chubby.
Most commonly used words: "See you!" and "No!"

Happy Birthday E! We love you so much!

Happy Birthday E!

Our Eli turns 2 on May 7th, but my mom is going to Washington tomorrow to be with my sister while she has a new baby. So we decided to have Eli's birthday party a week early. I get so excited for my boys birthdays! I'm so grateful we had so many family members come to his party. He got lots of presents: clothes, pjs, sunglasses, sweet monkey rain boots, church shoes and of course toys. I was going to decorate little monster cupcakes, but ran out of time so they were just cupcakes with designs and smiley faces.

Eli wouldn't pull the presents out of the bag;
he would dump the bags out.
Eli got a Cars book that had a map of Radiator Springs
and little cars to drive around on the map. It was a hit!
So excited for his church shoes!
The monkey boots. Eli was a bit afraid of them
at first but warmed up to them by the end of the night.
Blaine and Emma. They are such good friends.
Love it!
(Like Blaine's outfit? He wouldn't let me get him dressed.)
The cupcakes.
I adore this boy.
Had to get a bit of help from brother to blow the candles out.
Beautiful girl!

They all pretty much licked the frosting of then asked for another one.
