Happy Birthday to me!

For the last 10 years, I have been trying to talk Tyson into taking me to see the Nutcracker. Every year I tell him "You know what would be a great birthday present? To go to the Nutcracker!" Finally, Tyson caved. For my birthday Tyson took me to the Spaghetti Factory for dinner and then to the Nutcracker at Capitol Theatre. It was so much fun! Best date ever. I loved it! Tyson wasn't sure about the whole ballet thing, but I kept telling him he'd like the Nutcracker. He did! He enjoyed it as well. YAY! I think I'll ask for this for my birthday every year!

Baby It's Cold Outside!

Blaine asks to go to the park just about everyday. I hate being cold so we don't go very often. Today, however, he wore me down. We went to the park after nap time. I still froze, but I loved watching my boys playing. Ü

Run Away With Me!

This last Saturday I ran my first half marathon. 13.1 miles! The race was in St. George. It was seriously freezing, but so beautiful. Tyson, my FIL Ty and SIL Brittany also ran the race. We had a great time. I ran the race in 2 hours, 26 minutes and 30 seconds. Better than I'd planned on. I'm very happy with my time. Ü

Spooky Zoo

Today we went trick or treating at the zoo. It was freezing cold, but the boys had fun and it was fun spending time with them. Our friends Katie and Brandon and their cute boys Camden and Beckham came with us. It's always fun when we get to see them!

Pumpkins!

I've never been a huge fan of carving pumpkins. I don't like the mess and it's so time consuming. This was our first year carving pumpkins with our boys. It was so much fun!! The boys loved pulling the guts out. I knew Blaine would love it, but I thought Eli would be grossed out. He loved it though and wouldn't let anyone help him. My sister, Danielle, came to play with us while her hubby was doing parent teacher conferences. So glad she came.

Blaine's 1st Field Trip

Today was Blaine's first field trip with his preschool. They went to the Ogden Nature Center. It was nice being able to have some one on one time with my guy. He enjoyed seeing the birds and snakes and tarantula. YUCK.

Blaine and Eli were playing with their Thomas the Train trains and tracks. They love playing with those. Best part is that since they each have their own, there's less fighting. Of course there's still some fighting, (Heaven forbid we don't fight!) but not as much as usual. Thanks for the trains, Nana!

Poor Blainer ran into the counter top and hit his eye on the corner. Poor guy was bleeding for like 3 hours. We kept having to change his band aid because it was soaked. He had a nice black eye for a few days after, but it's better now.

He wasn't really crying in this one; just being silly.

So big!

My Blaine started preschool today. When did he get so big? I absolutely adore this little guy. I wish he could stay little and be my cuddle bug forever. At the same time, it makes me so proud seeing him growing and learning new things.
Blaine was a little nervous to have me leave him, but he did much better than I expected. I had fun spending a couple hours with Eli. We went to the library and then got a slushy to share. I think Eli enjoyed the one on one time as well.
I hope Blaine continues to enjoy preschool and learning. Love you Blainer! I'm so proud of you!

Bad Mommy

Blaine turned 4 in June. I'm such a bad mom for taking so long to post about his party. I can't believe what a big boy Blaine is. He starts preschool next week. I'm nervous, but he will do great. He is so friendly. For Blaine's birthday we went to a splash pad. So much fun!

My Runner

Yesterday Tyson ran his 1st half marathon. He ran the Top of Utah in Cache Valley. I was so proud of him! It was very exciting watching him cross the finish line. He ran 13.1 miles in 2 hours and 47 minutes. Way to go Babe! Love you!

My Little Fishies

We put Blaine in swimming lessons this summer. He had a lot of fun. I was a little worried about him not wanting me to leave him with a stranger, but we only had one time when he got upset. It was so much fun watching him interacting with his teacher and the other kids. Blaine did a great job, I am so proud of him! Eli and I played in the little kids area during Blaine's lessons. Eli usually had fun. He is such a silly boy. I loved being able to spend some time just with Eli. We don't get much one on one time.

Our Pup

A couple weeks ago, we got a puppy. His name is Bronx. He's a Schnorkie. (Mini Schnauzer/Yorkie Mix) The boys love him. It was so funny to watch Eli with Bronx when we first got him. Eli would pick him up in one arm and carry him around the house. Blaine was a bit nervous about Bronx at first, but warmed up to him pretty quickly. He is very cute and playful.
