Easter Fun

We had such a fun Easter! We spent a lot of time driving all over the place, but it was worth it. We went to my sister and brother in laws' sacrament meeting to hear them speak. We went to visit Tyson's grandma, then to his parent's house, then to my parents house. So wonderful visiting with family. Tyson had to work at the hospital at 5 pm so that wasn't so great, but I'm grateful I got to spend most of the day with him. Ü

Blainer with his Easter "basket". One of my
friends on facebook made an ADORABLE
basket for her daughter; I'm gonna have to
make some for my guys.

Brooke and Kody brought a firetruck pinata for the kids.
Eli took 2 swings then left to ride the bike.
Emma barely tapped the pinata. We had to tell her to
pretend it was a monster. "Hit it HARD Emma!"
Blaine went at it but still couldn't break it open.
Kody had to help a bit. Ü

Hoppy Easter!

In this months "The Friend" magazine there was a super cute recipe for Bunny Buns. When I saw them, I was in love. They looked so stinking cute and I LOVE orange rolls. So, I decided I had to make them on Easter morning. I've been looking forward to making these babies all month long. They are a bit of work though, so I started them last night. After I got them shaped, I covered them in saran wrap and put them in the fridge over night. Then got them out this morning to let them rise and cook them. I thought they were ADORABLE, however I didn't get the same response from others:

Blaine: "These look creepy."
Dad: "It looks like a ghost."
Brooke: "Is that the breast cancer ribbon?"
Justin: "It's a twisty thing."
Spencer: "Are those fallopian tubes?"

Don't you worry. I won't let those comments stop me from making them again next year!

Making a face wasn't working out so well,
so we made it be the back of the bunny
and decorated his tail.
I think it's adorable!
Here's the recipe from "The Friend" so you can make Bunny Buns/breast cancer ribbons/creepy things/ghosts/twisty things next year too!
