BBB Update

Well, Blaine has spent 2 nights in his Big Boy Bed and I am happy to report that they were both successful. We weren't able to get Blaine started on the BBB as soon as we had planned because he decided to get RSV. But, once he was feeling better, we gave it a go. Also, we had to deviate from "The Plan" a little. We moved the crib mattress to the BBB and we didn't have a chance to buy another mattress. I didn't want to keep moving the mattress between the crib and bed so we went cold turkey and decided to do nap time and night time in the BBB.
The first night, Blaine whined for a couple minutes so I went in to cuddle him for a minute then laid him back down. He whined for another minute after I laid him back down, but then he went to sleep. He didn't wake up at all during the night.
The second night we laid him in bed and didn't hear from him the rest of the night.
Nap time is going just as well.
Blaine was so cute when we set up his bed. He would climb up one side, climb down the other side and then run around the bed to do it again.
Here are some pictures of Blaine and his new bed.
Hopefully things continue to go well with the BBB. We'll see what happens once the toys get moved in there.

Operation: Big Boy Bed

1 Energetic But Adorable Toddler
2 Possibly Crazy Parents

1 Toddler Bed with new Lightning McQueen Bedding

The Plan:
The above mentioned Bed will be set up in the 3rd bedroom after the Parents have removed the boxes and scrapbook stuff. For the 1st week or so, the Toddler will have nap time in the Bed. Once the Toddler has gotten used to that, he will progress to night time in the Bed. Once the Toddler is used to that, the Parents will move the Toddlers toys and clothes into the bedroom. Toddler's old room will then be converted into the Baby Brother's room.

Deadline:
May 1st

Updates to follow.

Good Luck!

My Cookie Monster

Last week, Blaine and I decided to make some cookies. I had some chocolate frosting and a sugar cookie mix someone had given us. It was so much fun making cookies with Blaine. I pulled a chair up next to the counter so he could reach. Blaine had fun playing in the flour and of course sneaking some cookie dough when he thought I wasn't looking. We were both a mess by the time we finished but it was worth it.

Blaine just licked the frosting off his cookie.

Eli Update

I had a doctors appointment on Monday and things are going well. We did a Biophysical Profile and Eli passed although it was a close one. The baby has to pass the "test" within a half an hour. The ultrasound technician was having a hard time getting Eli to move his head. He's going to be a stubborn little guy. (I think he gets that from Blaine! Ü) My doctor is going to do another "test" in a few weeks. Hopefully Eli cooperates better next time! Also, Eli is measuring 3 weeks ahead! Yikes! So, he might come early or he might be a gigantic baby. (I'm hoping for the first option.) I'm getting REALLY anxious! We still have lots we need to get done though. We need to get busy.

Vidoes

Blaine loves music and he loves dancing. This first video is of Blaine and me (mostly me) singing 1 Little Monkey and Head, Shoulders, Knees and Toes. He can do the actions a lot better, but since the camera was going he wasn't cooperating. (Of course!) The second is of Blaine dancing to the X-files theme music.
