As of late I have felt like I have been working a ton and feeling kind of bad about not being home as much as I would like to. I spend 4 hours a day in commuting to and from Salt Lake on the train and a bus. Then I try to get 8.5 to 9 hours in a work all while taking a two hour lunch to go to the gym to get in better shape. I wake up at 5 to catch the 6am train and I have been getting home at around 8:30pm. It sucks! Anyways, I was really feeling bad and really wanted to spend more time with the family. Especially Blaine. So this past Wednesday I got to spend the extra time with my son...in the emergency room. Blaine, the poor kid, fell backwards off a chair at the church and hit his head. He threw up a couple of times and we decided to take him the emergency room just to make sure all was ok (we all remember what happened when I had my concussion, don't we?). Well, everything turned out ok and Blaine was fine. It took less time to see the ER doc than to go to the regular one. However, it did cost 5 times as much. The doctor literally took 5 minutes with us and was able to tell right away that Blaine was ok. So, Blaine is fine and I got some good quality time in the ER with Blaine and Jenny. And, lucky for me, my office is going to 4 days a week so I will have an extra day to play with the fam.
