HA. I can't say I have ever done that but I did forget about boiling water once and the water evaporated and the pot starting melting off itself. SUCH A MESS!
I have done that - a little less damage, but it was to my best oven mitt. :( If it makes you feel better, when I was little, I wrapped my mom's afghan that she had recently finished, around a pillow and leaned it up against our wood-burning stove (I was trying to warm it up for my Dad to use for a Sunday nap). By the time my parents realized what I had done, there were not just one, but several holes burnt through it. It has been put away in a box in the basement ever since. At least you can go to the store to replace your mishap! Miss ya Jen!
Jenny, of course I remember you! How fun that you found my blog. I am so flattered, really! Please come by often. I love reconnecting with people, and making new friends. And thank you so much for saying I inspire you! You have no idea how much that lifted my day. Really. Thank you so much.
And I do that all the time (with the paper towel). I love to cook, but tend to be a bit of a clutz in the kitchen. :)
We are so excited about the prospect of adopting again! Adoption has been such a blessing in our family. Check out our Adoption Blog. www.tysonjennyandboys.blogspot.com

Not that but I did leave water boiling on the stove and then left for an aggie game. Luckily the pot was a gonner but the house was still in tact!

Hahaha! Yeah, I accidentally put a flaming hot pad back in the drawer without realizing it. Almost set my kitchen on fire. It must be genetic.
