Brett and Rachel said...: I have done that - a little less damage, but it was to my best oven mitt. :( If it makes you feel better, when I was little, I wrapped my mom's afghan that she had recently finished, around a pillow and leaned it up against our wood-burning stove (I was trying to warm it up for my Dad to use for a Sunday nap). By the time my parents realized what I had done, there were not just one, but several holes burnt through it. It has been put away in a box in the basement ever since.
